Raider Parent Season Information Meeting- Friday, 20 August, 5:30pm, H.S. Cafeteria.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: from 3 - 5 PM at SMA PREP Middle school ( 3101 Bethel Ln, Sarasota, FL 34240)... Meet on athletic field behind the gym. Uniform is: Running Shoes/Shorts/t-shirt/sun-block a water bottle. We will be timing all cadets in the "Field Events". You need to be present all 3 days.
Saturday, 14 August: from 7 - 8:30 am at the Celery Fields ( 6893 Palmer Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34240)... We meet right at the building at the base of the hill. This is were you will run a timed 5k, followed by a short 1/2 mile "Hill Run". Uniform is the same as above.
In order to be considered for the team, you must be present for the 5k run and for at least 2 of the 3 field days at the Prep (if you are absent one day, we will substitute your missing day with times from your worse of the two days you were present, plus a 10% additional time added).
Team rosters will be posted in the JROTC Wing Event Box at 6:50am, 16 August. Those that make the team roster will have practice THAT day after school from 2:20-4:30.
*** If you have ANY questions about tryouts or will have trouble making it to the PREP after school on the field days, contact MSG Browning or Chief Munoz ASAP! We can see about trying to get you a rider TO the PREP, but you will be responsible for being PICKED UP at the PREP at 5pm.***
